You probably did not think you’d find an article about Valentine’s Day from us but Valentine’s day is all about love, showing your love, being in love or wanting to be!
Loving someone, keeping love or finding love is one of the biggest drives a human being has. You want to belong to someone, belong to something bigger and “do life” together by sharing daily details and the moments that bring you sadness as well as happiness.
Love completes you
Loving someone and having someone love you makes your life complete (for most people). Children learn the concept of love at a surprisingly young age. They discover quite early that if they can get your attention and keep your attention, that life is good. They learn that their smile garners them more of your eye contact, so they smile more. Children in orphanages may perish because there is no one to love them, wrap them in physical touch or give them attention. It has nothing to do with nourishment.
You can also “love” what you do. When you love what you do (professionally) it comes across in your attitude, your skills and your ability to complete a job or a project well. Loving what you do can make a difference to those you serve. They see it in your work, they feel it when they are in a room with you. They see the results at the end of a project or task. Try and think of the last time you came across someone you knew really ‘loved’ doing what they were doing. Did you wish you had that same passion for what you did?
We love what we do
The artists at Macaluso Custom Design love what they do. They also love one another as they are mother and daughter! Each and every day they take their very strong and supportive relationship to work with them and help their clients ‘love’ their kitchens or walls or fireplaces again. You may think that the word “love’ is a little overused in the world today and that may be a sound opinion. But we’ve experienced it firsthand. We’ve heard the verbal expressions from our clients after we’ve transformed a wall. They now ‘love’ that room more than they did before. They want to be in it, around it, share it with others. That sounds like ‘love’ to us.
If you don’t love spending time in your kitchen because your cabinets look bad, they’re outdated and they make being in the kitchen and cooking, a laborious task and not a joy, perhaps it’s time for a change? Maybe it’s time you did something proactive so you love being in your kitchen again. Make an appointment to have a quote to refinish your kitchen cabinets, or your bathroom cabinets with faux paint. Be in love with your kitchen this Valentine’s Day!
